Norma Owen 88, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. Norma Jean Price was born March 9, 1936 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Gilbert Ellis and Carrie Alonzo Atherton Price and was married to Chadwick 'Chad' Owen on July 16, 1955.
Norma retired as a cook from the McLean County School System and was a member of Livermore Missionary Baptist Church.
Norma enjoyed spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking, was known for her apple pies, and also enjoyed being outdoors, caring for her flowers, and trips to the Smoky Mountains.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Chad Owen, who died December 3, 2022 and by a sister, Linda Lanham.
Norma is survived by a daughter, Becky Tanner (Frank) of Livermore; a son, Kevin Owen (Vicki) of Livermore; four grandsons, Dr. Brad Tanner (Susie), Scott Tanner, Garrett Owen (Melanie), and Dr. Ross Owen (Alyssa); eight great-grandchildren, Colton Tanner, Julia Tanner, Jacob Tanner, Wyatt Tanner, Clementine Owen, August Owen, Adalyn Owen, and Rosie Owen; a sister, June Barnett of Owensboro; and two brothers, Ray Price (Shirley) of Livermore and Charles Price (Brenda) of Rockport, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Norma's family from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Livermore.
The Norma Owen family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund; C/O Julie King; 14758 Kentucky 136 East; Livermore, Kentucky 42352.
Norma's services will be streamed live on musterfuneralhomes.com at 2:00 P.M. Saturday.
