Mrs. Norma Jean Pearo, age 70, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born in Sterling, Illinois on September 19, 1954 to Glen and Delores "Dodie" (Keener) Collison. Norma was baptized in the Lutheran Church as a child. She was employed by Hilite International for over 25 years. Norma enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and spending time at their property in Pentwater, Michigan. She also enjoyed camping and their annual trip to Hippy Fest. Norma had a soft spot for animals and loved her dogs, Tank and Lucky John. On February 15, 1991, Norma married Jeffery Pearo and he survives her along with two children, Molly Ann Vanderlip and Jason (Erin) Vanderlip; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Sharon Spencer; sisters, Carolyn (Don) Warren, Jerri (Tim) Homoly, Glenna (Scott Tyler) Collison, and Donna Willard; and sister-in-law, Barb Brott. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Walter Pearo; brother, Gene Wessels; and brother-in-law, Chuck Willard. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Harbor of Grace Lutheran Church, 1132 W. Southern Ave., Muskegon, MI 49441. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Fruitport Cemetery. MEMORIALS in memory of Norma may be directed to NOAH Project or the Harbor Hospice Foundation – Poppen Residence.
