Norma Joyce Rushing

Norma Joyce Rushing of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born on June 26, 1973 to Joyce Ann (Smith) & Billy Norman Rushing in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2025 in Purcell, Oklahoma. She is preceded in passing by her mother, Joyce Ann (Smith) Rushing and brother Terry Wright.
Norma grew up in Wynnewood, graduating from Wynnewood Highschool in 1992. She was a woman of faith, and she testified to her family daily. She had a truly beautiful voice and used it to praise the Lord every chance she got. She loved to spend time with her family and was a caring mother, and she absolutely adored her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Norma is survived by her her father, Bill Rushing, her daughter Empress Rushing of Shreveport, Louisiana, sons Emorej and Emondre Rushing of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Grandchildren; Jayce, Emorej Jr., Emorey, Malik, Malachi, Kash & Ruby. Brothers Lee Ernest, Bill Jr., Fred & Elijah Rushing. Sisters Florence Rushing, Fonchelle Lee, Demeka Rushing, Tristen Rushing & Tonya Wright as well as a host of other family & friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27 from 5-7PM at the DeArman Funeral Home in Wynnewood. Visitation will continue on Sunday, March 2 from 1-5PM. Services will be held at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Wynnewood, Oklahoma on Monday, March 4 at 11AM with Rev. Scott Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove in Wynnewood.
