Norma Jean Shrader, 86, of Montcalm, WV, passed Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Princeton Health Care Center in Princeton, WV.
Born, April 21, 1938, in Montcalm, WV, she was the daughter of the late Luther Hasque and Ora Elsie Dunford Perkins. Norma was a lifelong resident of Montcalm, WV, and a member of the Montcalm Church of God. She was a Mercer County school bus driver and retired after 26 years of service.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Shrader; daughters, Kimberly Frazier and Sherry Shrader; brothers, David, Edward, Darrell, Hershel, and Vincile Perkins; and sisters, Beatrice Brown and Evelene Blevins.
Those left to cherish Norma's memory are her son, Steve Shrader and wife Beverly, of Montcalm, WV; daughter, Melissa Williams and special friend John Waltman of Montcalm, WV; brother, Paul Perkins of Montcalm, WV; sister, Judy Hodge of Montcalm, WV, 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel with her son, Rev. Steve Shrader officiating. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call one hour prior to services, from 3:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home.
