Norma Jean Allen Stuart Obituary Norma Jean Allen Stuart passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the age of 93. She was born July 28, 1931 in Huntsville, Utah. She was the youngest daughter of eight children born to Alanson D. and Ruth Coon Allen. Norma was the last surviving member of her family. She joked about outliving her grandma Coon, which she did by several years. She attended Huntsville Elementary, Valley Junior High and graduated for the Old Weber High in Ogden. She was a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Shortly after graduation, she married Eugene Stuart Sr. and they began their family in Farr West eventually ending up in Ogden. Unfortunately, she lost her husband in 1973 and was left to finish raising their children on her own. Norma learned the value of sewing from her mother who made their clothes and many quilts. As a result, she was skilled in sewing and worked as a seamstress at Sierra Lingerie for 12 years. She then put in 15 years at Wangsgard's bakery before retiring. Norma enjoyed cake decorating, ceramics, and any kind of craft. She was always looking for a decoration or something fun to make for her family and they received many treasured gifts made by her hands. Norma's father was a sheepherder whose life was the outdoors, from him she gained a love for the mountains. Eugene Sr. and Norma took the family on many camping trips. These trips were continued as much as possible after he died. An annual family camping trip to Idaho offered opportunities for children and grandchildren to turn family relationships into friendships. The evening campfire was enjoyed by all with stories shared and memories made. Norma valued family. She took care to see that her father and older brother Marvin had what they needed as they aged. She was there for children and their families if there was a need. Every birthday and holiday required a family get-together. Norma was happiest having her family around her and watching them have fun. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Stuart Sr., daughter Paula (Terry) Mildon, and son Allen Stuart. She is survived by her daughter Becky (Mike) Saunders, North Ogden; and son Eugene Jr. (LaRae) Stuart, Pleasant View. Norma is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren whom she adored. We acknowledge Katie Burke and Kelli Ann Wall whom we love. The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to Bristol Hospice for their attention and care. Norma will be laid to rest next to her husband Eugene Sr. in the Malad City, Idaho, Cemetery.
