Norman Wayne Bean, 82, of Salisbury,passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at his home.

Born, March 6, 1943, he was the son of the late, Jackson Lee and Lavinia Mae (King) Bean. He and his wife,Patricia (Hoffman) celebrated 60 years of marriage on January 14, 2025.

Norman graduated from Suitland High School, class of 1961. After graduation, he served in the US Army. He was employed by C&P Telephone, later Bell Atlantic for over 30 years. After retirement he became a waterman, crabbing, oystering and fishing.

Norman enjoyed time spent with friends at Dave's Sports shop. He loved to travel especially to NASCAR events and spent time hunting. He was an active member of the Charles County Chapter of the Jaycees where he was a Past President. As a part of his service there, he helped to organize a cross country bathtub race that culminating in a check presentation at the Jerry Lewis Telethon.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two children, Natalie (Bobby) Hooks and Bobby (Catherine) Bean; a granddaughter, Krysten (Kevin) Kruse; great-granddaughter, Kinglsey Kruse; brother, Richard Bean; sister, Gloria (Mike) Russell; and nieces.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
