Mr. Norman Curtis Causey, age 82, passed away January 25th, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 2, 1941 in Lancaster. He was the son of the late William Edward Causey and Mavis Threatt Causey and was the husband of Carolyn Adams Causey. Mr. Causey was a graduate of Lancaster High School and Kings College. He was retired from the Lancaster and Chester Railway after 42 years. He loved boating, dancing, going to the beach, and most of all spending time with his family whom he loved with his whole heart. Norman was especially known for his love of laughter and quick wit, having created many memorable moments throughout the years and even in his final days.
Mr. Causey is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn, his daughters Lisa Causey-Litmon (Kenneth), Jessica Little (Heath), his son Joel Causey (Alex), five grandchildren; Heather, Whitney, Austin, Lola, and Emerson, two great grandchildren, his sister Judy Chavis (Jimmy), and brother Billy Causey. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Pat Eubanks and Janet Couch, and his beloved dogs Palmer and Bella.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, January 31st at 2:00 at The Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home officiated by Chaplain Nick Clanton of VIA Health and Hospice. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Lancaster Funeral Home.
For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VIA Health Partners, 7845 Little Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28226.
