Norman Richard Clark

STOW - Norman Richard Clark, 78, died October 8, 2025.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Hazel and Richard Clark, Norm grew up in Maple Heights until he joined the Navy in 1966 and shipped out to the Holy Loch, in Scotland, from 1966 to 1969. While there, he married Maureen O’Donnell of Paisley, Scotland, and had his first son, David Clark. As the family grew with the birth of Scot and Michelle Clark, they relocated to Stow, Ohio, in 1978.

Norm worked at Ohio Bell for fifteen years and then became a Navy Recruiter. He returned to active duty in 1992 and was sent back to the USS Simon Lake in the Holy Loch once again to close it out. Norm also became a “Bluenose.” He participated in the tradition of The Order of the Blue Nose after crossing the Arctic Circle. After he retired from the Navy in 1993, he worked as a United States Postal Carrier until retiring at age fifty-nine.

Norm enjoyed cars and motorcycles. He was the NEO Mustang Club President and was in the Cleveland Chapter HOG. Norm enjoyed taking many trips on his motorcycle with his father, Richard; brother, Rick Clark; sister, Bobbi Havrilla, and son, Scot Clark. He also played the base drum alongside his wife, Maureen, who played the bagpipes in the McCallum Highlanders Bagpipe Band. They enjoyed many Tartan Balls, parades, and Robert Burns Suppers over the years.

Preceded in death by his wife, Maureen Clark, he is survived by his sons, David Clark and Scot (Jennifer) Clark; daughter, Michelle (Heath) Brown; grandchildren, Hannah, Colin, Brynn, and Cameron; brother, Rick Clark, and sister, Bobbi Havrilla.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, to be determined.
