Norman Montgomery Dohran

Norman Montgomery Dohran, age 87, of Clyde Township, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, at Marwood Nursing and Rehab in Port Huron. Born on July 24, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the cherished son of the late Norman and Donna (Montgomery) Dohran.
Norman's journey began in Detroit, but his heart found its home when he married his beloved wife, Carol Ann, on July 18, 1964. Together, they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and the blessings of two daughters, René Ann Dohran of Clyde Township and Shelly (Annette Richards) Dohran of Kimball.
For 28 years, Norman dedicated his talents to General Motors, where he was not only a valued employee but also a friend to many. Norman had a passion for boats. His hands were rarely still, as he found solace and satisfaction in repairing classic cars and crafting beautiful interior vehicle and boat upholstery. These hobbies were a reflection of his meticulous nature and his love for creating and restoring beauty in the world around him. In his younger years, Norman was an avid hunter.
Norman leaves behind a legacy of love and the warmest of memories that will be cherished by his family and all who knew him. Norman's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire those he loved.
A gathering and viewing will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial Life Celebration Center, 4521 Ravenswood Road, Kimball, MI 48074. Military honors will be rendered at 6:00 p.m. Graveside services and interment will take place privately at Cadillac Memorial Gardens, East.
