Norman Scott Huscroft, 79, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024 at his home surrounded by family. Born June 5, 1945 in N. Charleroi, PA he was the son of the late Norman S. and Sarafene Amato Huscroft. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Huscroft was Presbyterian by faith, was employed at Whg-Pgh Steel Allenport Plant, later employed at the Belle Vernon Area School District as a security guard and was a former attendant at the Parzynski Funeral Home. Scott enjoyed taking care of his yard making sure it was always cut in straight lines, taking care of his cars and was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his wife Margaret 'Peggy' Christopher Huscroft to whom he was married 52 years; daughter & son in law Renee & Travis Horne of Belle Vernon; two granddaughters Raelyn Horne, Alayna Horne; several nieces and nephews and beloved dogs Angel & Goldie. He is preceded in death by his brother Gregg J. Huscroft.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-5:30 PM followed by funeral services 5:30 PM with the Pastor Glenn Hart of Harmony Presbyterian Church officiating in the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Norman Scott Huscroft to St. Jude’s’s Hospital. The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Clair Cancer Center and to the staff at Via Quest hospice, Monongahela for their loving care and support.
