On Friday, August 19, 2022, age 92, of Glenshaw, formerly of Morningside. Father of Antoinette (Robert) Schwer of Tennessee, Marianne (Tobin) Brown of Florida, and John (Jill) Jacaszek of North Huntingdon, PA; grandfather of Paul (Jessie) Schwer, Brad (Michelle) Schwer, David (Andrea) Schwer, Jordan (Charlsey) Schwer, and Evan Jacaszek; great-grandfather of Hobbes, Alex, and Evelyn Schwer; preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Libby; his parents Alexander and Apolina, his sisters, Sally and Dolores, and his stepfather Honofreid. Norman was retired, having worked at Nabisco in East Liberty for 45 years. He was a longtime member of St. Raphael Parish. Norman loved traveling with his wife and had been a member of North Hills Squares, where he enjoyed dancing. He also loved playing cards, working jigsaw puzzles, gardening, and watching old movies. He frequently socialized at the Morningside Senior Center where he regularly called bingo. Friends received Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-9 pm, WORRELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., Sharpsburg, PA 15215. (412-782-2211). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am in St. Raphael Church, 1118 Chislett St., Pgh., PA. In lieu of flowers his family suggests memorial contributions to either Shaler Villa Fire Company, 960 Saxonburg Blvd, Pgh., PA 15223, or Shaler Hampton EMS, 339 Wetzel Road, Glenshaw, PA 15116. www.WorrellFuneral.com
