Norman Jonkman Obituary
Born in Paterson, Norm moved to Midland Park at the age of eight and made it his lifelong home. An avid New York Yankees fan, he enjoyed attending many home games with his father. In his younger years he was also an enthusiastic bowler and spent many Saturday afternoons on the lanes with his dad.
Norm was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Florence Jonkman. He is survived by a close circle of loving friends whom thought of him as family and whom he lived with since 2020.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. A prayer & funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, October 17, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Norm's name to Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, Cedar Hill Avenue, Wyckoff.
