Nancy L. Jonkman, 73, of Lower Nazareth Township, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospital Anderson Campus. Born on February 22, 1953 in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Yenolevich) Keeler.
A proud graduate of Liberty High School, Nancy devoted her professional life to healthcare as a dedicated medical biller at St. Luke's Hospital. Throughout her career, she exemplified a commitment to her work and the well-being of others, reflecting her strong faith and compassion for those around her.
Nancy was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bethlehem, where her love for the Lord shone brightly. Known for her bubbly personality, she had an unparalleled ability to light up any room she entered. An exceptional homemaker, she loved to cook and host family gatherings, ensuring that holidays were filled with joy and laughter.
Nancy's adventurous spirit led her to enjoy riding motorcycles, and she had a special fondness for Betty Boop. She was known for her remarkable handwriting and loved dancing, often bringing smiles to the faces of those around her. Above all, Nancy loved her family and friends unconditionally, forging bonds that would last a lifetime.
Nancy will be dearly missed by her husband of 28 years, Henry "Hank" Jonkman; sons, Scott Polgar and his wife, Stacey, Stevie Polgar and his wife, Susan, Richie Polgar, Hank Jonkman, Jr. and his wife, Kate, and Damien Jonkman and his wife, Lauren; daughter, Melanie Jonkman; sister, Kathy Keeler; 14 grandchildren, Erica, Keri, Karine, Sammie, Brendan, Kirsten, Raegen, Stephen, Mason, Desmond, Adam, Ryan, Tristyn, and Madison; and five great-grandchildren.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020. Burial will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
