Norman Newfer Obituary

Norman had been a farmer and owner of Newfer's Refuse Removal. He was known as a jack of all trades. Norman loved nature, listening to the birds, gardening, and working in his barn. He had been a bus driver for the children's ministry at Lima Baptist Temple for years and loved the kids.
Survivors include children: Cynthia (Patrick) Sarchet of Lima and Jeffrey (Kimberly) Newfer of Cridersville; 4 grandsons: Zachary (Carrie) Newfer, Joshua (Aimee) Sarchet, Caleb (Amanda) Sarchet and Seth Sarchet; 5 great grandchildren: Adeline Newfer, Max Sarchet, Arlo Sarchet, Jett & Phoebe Sarchet; and siblings: Gary (Sally) Newfer of Belle Center, Nina (Melvin) Monroe of Lima and Barbara Brown of Harrod.
He was preceded in death by brothers: Donald and Walter Newfer.
The family will receive friends 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m., Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Hohman officiating and burial will be in Preston Cemetery near Alger.
Memorial contributions may be given to Lima Baptist Temple.
