Norman “Norm” Ferrell Marsh, Jr., aged 63, died peacefully at his home on January 22, 2023 surrounded by his family. Norm is survived by his loving wife, Kate, daughters Ferrell (Jim Anthony) and Scottie (Tom Barré), sister Shannon (Chris Orr), father Norman Ferrell Marsh, Sr. and mother Martha.
Born in Huntsville, AL on July 31, 1959, Norm had a strong passion for baseball. This passion took him to Calhoun Junior College and later Auburn University. However, it was his love of food and people that brought him to Atlanta in the food industry, which turned into his lifelong career. Those that knew Norm always described him as the life of the party (even if he didn’t stay for very long), and one could frequently see evidence of his magnetic personality on and off the golf course where he loved spending time. His love of food and fellowship were tools he skillfully used to display his fierce love for his family and friends. This fierce love for his family in particular was always evident in the way he lived and will be a rich and lasting legacy.
A service will be held to celebrate Norm’s life at St. Brendan’s the Navigator Catholic Church (4633 Shiloh Road, Cumming, GA) on February 2, 2023 at 2 PM, with a short reception to follow at the Ranch House at Larkspur neighborhood (100 Waverly Drive, Alpharetta, GA).

I just recently started with the FSE Georgia Team, and am very sorry but fortunate that our paths crossed. I have heard so many good stories about him from the food service industry. He is missed.

Kate and family, I am sorry to hear of Norm´s passing. He was a very special person who I enjoyed both in friendship and business. Always will remember our somewhat kind respect for our Bama /Auburn affection. That boy will be missed "WAR EAGLE"!

My heart is heavy as I found out about Norm. We graduated high school together and were great friends for a long time. Unfortunately, as we go through life we lose track of each other. My heart goes out to Kate and his girls, his parents Pedro, Martha and sister Shannon. I spent a lot of time with all of them. I remember watching Goodfellas at their house and had the best time. He was certainly a bright light and provided great memories in my life and I am saddened by his passing.

Norm and I played golf together in many scramble golf tournaments. We always had a lot of fun. He was the long hitter and I was the putter. We were competitors in the food business and could sell with the best of them. At the end of many trade shows he would walk by and say "We fooled 'em again." I am glad he is no longer suffering. May his memory be a blessing for his family.

I am sad to hear the news of Norm's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I know he fought hard in this battle he faced up to the end. I will miss him and his passion for the food industry where so many of us became not only his "customer", but his friend. God Bless and WAR EAGLE my friend!
