Norman H Oye, Jr., 78, a resident of Warrenville for over 20 years, passed away on December 14, 2024. He was born on May 19, 1946, in Chicago, IL, to Norman H. Oye and Marilyn (nee Milling).
Norman leaves behind his loving wife of 20 years Barbara (nee Ilg) who he married on November 6, 2004, at Trinity Lutheran church in Warrenville, IL, his dear daughter Jessica Kilfeather and his adored grandchildren Conor and Galen. Norman also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family members. Norm was preceded in passing by his parents and late daughter Rachael.
Norm grew up in Barrington, IL and attended Barrington High School, class of 1964. He went on to attend Valparaiso University. Norm worked for Twin City Fan for many years before his retirement in 2019.
Norm enjoyed hiking and spending time with his wife and friends. He was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran church in Warrenville. In his free time Norm enjoyed watching sports and telling stories of years past.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Trinity Lutheran Church in Norms memory would be appreciated.
Norms' family will be hosting a Memorial Visitation on Saturday December 28th from 10:30AM to 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, with a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM, with lunch to follow. Inurnment will be at Lake Wood Cemetery in Minneapolis MN at a later date.

I am sorry for your loss. I worked with Norm while he was at TC Fan. I so enjoyed his stories and his industry knowledge was vast. He forgot more than I ever hope to ever learn. He was a genuine village wise man and tribal elder. Rest in peace my cherished friend.
