Norman P. Rombach, lovingly known as "Blim,” of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026. His life was defined by his love of family, passion for baseball, strong work ethic, and his faith in God.

Blim was born July 31,1936 and raised in the Spring Hill section of Pittsburgh, PA to the late Evelyn and George Rombach, and was the youngest of six boys. Blim attended North Catholic High School and graduated from Perry High School in 1954. He furthered his education at Robert Morris Business College and earned his associate’s degree in accounting. He proudly served in the US Army, stationed in Germany from 1959-1961.

He had a career as a Parts Manager for several GM dealerships and proprietor of two beer distributors during the 70s and 80s. He served on the executive board of the Workingmen’s Beneficial Union, a fraternal insurance company, eventually rising to the role of Financial Secretary.

His dedication to his work was matched only by his pride in his family, which was his proudest accomplishment. A man of many hobbies, Norman enjoyed bowling and playing horseshoes as well collecting baseball cards and after his retirement, cooking. He was married to his beautiful wife, Leanora for almost 50 years and an amazing father to his son, George. He created lasting memories with his family watching Pirates baseball games, something that brought him immense joy and fair amount of frustration.

Blim’s last 5 years were spent living in Yardley, PA where he fully embraced the role of Grandpop/Grandpap to his granddaughters, Clara and Sabrina. He loved nothing more than attending their various sports games, dance recitals, and school events. He loved even more being able to hang out with them in the driveway playing games.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Gilbert, Howard, Richard, and Robert.

He survived by his beloved wife, Leanora Rombach; his brother John Rombach (Sandy); his son George Rombach and his wife Elisa; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Clara and Sabrina.

He will be remembered lovingly by all that knew him.

Norman’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Woodside Presbyterian Church in Yardley, PA with visitation at 11am and the service to begin at 12pm. His Celebration of Life will live streamed on the church’s website www.woodside-church.org

Blim will be laid to rest  on Tuesday January 13, 2026 at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA,  services will begin at 11 a.m. in the cemetery.
