Norman Douglas Stulz Sr., born on January 22, 1951, in Detroit, MI, passed away on October 5, 2024. He raised his family in
Holly, MI where they lived for over 40 years but most recently resided in Houghton Lake, MI, and The Villages, Florida.
A dedicated pharmacist of over 45 years, Norm was focused on patient interactions and took great pride in his ability to bring smiles to the faces of his patients regardless of their situations.
He was also an incredibly talented stand-up comic who brought laughter and joy to audiences around the country and the world. He performed comedy for numerous charity organizations and private fundraisers, using his talents to support worthy causes. His defining traits of humor, care, and positivity made him a remarkable role model and friend. Norm lived by the cherished motto that we heard from him often, "Enjoy The Moments", which was a constant reminder to all that we should always make the best of any situation. His humor and wisdom resonated with many, reflecting his belief that laughter was essential in life. He would give that gift to family and strangers alike anywhere he met them.
He was a devoted family man, proud of his loving wife of 53 years, Sharon Marie Shepherd Stulz and his 3 children, Norm Stulz Jr. (Sheri), Chris Stulz (Darcy), and Sarah Merenuk (Matt) and 5 grandchildren, Corey Stulz, Keegan Merenuk, Connor Stulz, Kloey Merenuk, and Willow Stulz. Norm is survived by his sisters, Beverly Rocha (Matt), Edie Wysocki (Tom), and Linda Harker (Glenn) and a large extended family that includes In-laws Harold & Luaree Shepherd, Paulette & Rocky Packard, Steve & Michelle Shepherd, Claude & Janice Tunison, Sandy Michaels, Darline Shepherd, 22 nieces & nephews, 43 great nieces and nephews, and 4 great-great nieces and nephews. With such a large family it's important to note that none were long lost relatives as he formed personal relationships with each and every family member and will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents Betty and Quintus Stulz, his in-laws Pauline & Harold Shepherd, brother in-law Larry Michaels, and nephews Judson Waack and Paul Michaels.
His legacy of kindness and mentorship left a lasting impact on the lives of thousands, as his life's mission was to leave the world better than he found it. His family firmly believes that he achieved his goal. Norm will be remembered fondly for his ability to make people laugh and for the love he shared with those around him.
A visitation will be held on Sunday October 13, 2024 from 2-8 PM and on Monday October 14, 2024 from 10-11:30 AM. The funeral service will be held on Monday October 14, 2024 at 11:30 AM.
