Norman J. Van Hook, 57, of Sullivan passed away in his home on Monday, July 28, 2025. Norman was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June, 10, 1968 to Christina Van Hook.
Norman grew up in the north St. Louis area and began working while still in high school. He married Tammy and fulfilled the role of father of her daughter, Sara. Their family grew with the birth of Lauren in 1997 and Sean in 2004.
Norman had a passion for everything motorized. From motorcycles, cars, RC cars, and drones. His daughter, Lauren, gives him credit for her extensive "Hot Wheels" collection. Lauren fondly remembers him bringing home a hot wheel after he had been traveling. Norman also loved his cats and treated them as his children. Although Norman was a bit of a quiet loner he had a witty sarcastic sense of humor. He was close to his grandson, Riley, and will be greatly missed by his family.
Norman is survived by his wife, Tammy Van Hook of Sullivan; his 3 children; Sara Castellucci of Albany, Wisconsin, Lauren Van Hook of Sullivan, MO, and Sean Van Hook of Sullivan, MO; grandson, Riley Van Hook and granddaughter, Selene Plack; one sister, Theresa Morton of O'Fallon, MO and his mother Christina Van Hook of North county, MO.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 1, 2025 at the Buffalo Cemetery in Sullivan.
