She was born in Limerick, Ireland in 1948 to Nancy & Patrick Madden. She is the youngest of 5 siblings.
Nuala was predeceased by her husband, James Fairclough and is survived by her son Ian Fairclough (Stephanie), her daughter Caitlin Hackett (Tom) & her six grandchildren, Andrew, Ryan, Dylan, Connor, Liam and Scarlett.
She attended Nursing school and got her Masters in hospital Administration. She served as a Dialysis nurse and ran her own Dialysis unit. After retiring from nursing, Nuala became a real estate agent. She and Jim began travelling across the US and Europe to explore and paint.
Nuala loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading, watching the news and hearing about the adventures of her grandchildren. She is loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
To honor Nuala's life, family and friends will gather on Monday, May 13 from 4-8pm at Fred H. McGrath & Son, Inc., 20 Cedar St, Bronxville, NY 10708
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 14 at 10:45am at St. Josephs Church, 15 Cedar St, Bronxville, NY 10708
Calling Hours: 4 to 8 pm, Monday, May 13, 2024
Mass: 10:45 am, Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at St. Joseph's Church, Bronxville

Dear family,
During a conversation in anticipation of one of Nuala´s children´s wedding event, Nuala recalled how her Dad loved the Irish Ballad, "Danny Boy." She recalled that I had sung at my own sons´ weddings. "Would you do it?"
Nuala and Jimmy asked if I would sing her Irish Dad´s favorite song at the family reception as a tribute to and as a recollection of her departed father.
That was a personal and emotional moment for Nuala. I fondly recall the "big HUG" and sincere "Thankyou" Nuala rushed to deliver at the song´s conclusion.
