Nyla Victoria Smith

Nyla Victoria Smith, 69, Lexington, died Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late George and Blanch Hodge Phillips. Nyla was a loving, nurturing woman. She had many friends and left her mark anywhere she went. She touched many hearts and took care of the ones she loved. She adored her grandchildren, and even more her great granddaughter. She loved to shop, that was certainly her hobby. She loved her dog, Zipper, who was her partner in crime.

Her daughter was her very best friend and she was certainly overjoyed to reunite with her in heaven. We are so lucky to have been loved by her. Survivors include, a son, Michael Smith; a granddaughter, Briana Strunk; two grandsons, Terry Robinson and James Michael; and a great granddaughter, Maci Earley, all of Lexington. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Robinson.

Visitation will be 12 noon to 2 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2026, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Main Street.
