Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Wilton, MN.
Larry was born April 22, 1940 in Fergus Falls, MN, the son of Ed and Emma (Harworth) Rowland. He was raised and educated in the Bemidji/Wilton area. He entered the US Navy in 1957. He married Monica Rin September 29, 1962 in Honolulu, Hawaii. They traveled together with Larry who was in the Navy from Hawaii to San Diego, CA and back to Hawaii. After Larry's retirement from the Navy they moved to Minnesota in 1976. While back home he worked as a logger and in food service. He loved to golf and spend time with his family, especially his new great granddaughter, Freya. He is now united with is wife of 60 years in heaven. He was an adoring father and grandfather who loved and was deeply loved by his family.
He is survived by his son, Larry (Sonja) Rowland, Jr., daughter, Michele (Don) Diebel, grandchildren, Brandon (Ashley) Rowland and Shelby (Jake) Anderson, great granddaughter, Freya.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Emma, his wife Monica, and his sisters, Eileen and Beverly.
