Nardolillo Funeral Home Inc. - Narragansett94, of Narragansett, RI, formerly of Treeborough Farms, West Hartford, and Newington, CT, passed peacefully in her sleep Wed., November 26, 2025 in Newport, RI.
Olga is now reunited with Saverio Catalano, her high school sweetheart and husband with whom she shared 62 years. For three important years in end of life, the blessed clergy, residents, and staff of St. Clare-Newport joined with the loyal HopeHealth Hospice team and volunteers to provide Olga with a lively community of companionship and professional care. Their personal touch facilitated Olga’s remarkable spiritual journey to a gentle close. Our family is forever grateful. While the loss of our beloved matriarch is profound, we celebrate her legacy of warm memories gifted to us over nine decades. To those who had the privilege of knowing her, Olga will be remembered for her quiet strength, purpose, humor, and grace.
Born September 12, 1931 in Providence, she was the youngest daughter of the late tailor shoppe proprietors, Emilio and Carmela (Ciroulo) Pietrantonio of Roccamonfina and Panni, Italy, respectively. Olga was predeceased by her dear siblings, Edna P. Spirito and Paul Pietrantonio. Olga served as Mount Pleasant (’49) Class Secretary; Olga and Cat participated in all their class reunions. They moved to suburban CT, summering in their RI home. They were former parishioners of the Church of St. Peter Claver and St. Veronica Chapel. Olga served on Catholic Lady Guilds and Auxiliaries and charitable organizations. She encouraged Pat through all his corporate ventures. They were active and well-traveled. They enthusiastically hosted culinary get-togethers. After her children completed their education, Olga was employed at Northeast Utilities. The couple eventually settled at their Bonnet Breeze home, where they were longtime members of Bonnet Shores Beach Club. Later, Olga was a former Board Director of Narragansett Senior Association, Red Hat Society member, and one of the charming Bonnet Shores Card Ladies. At 90, Olga still vacationed at their spot in Longboat Key.
Olga leaves to cherish her tender memories: her daughter, Helene (Angelo) Fusco, grandson Michael Saverio (Samira) of West Hartford, CT; and her son, Robert (Carol) Catalano of Wake Forest, North Carolina, their children Christopher (FLA), Nicholas (CT), and Lauren (NC). Olga and Pat led their family with strong values. Olga was particularly proud she had but one granddaughter and all three of her grandsons earned Eagle Scout rank. Beneficiaries of her unconditional love include also treasured relatives in America, Canada, and Italy, as well as lifelong neighbors and true friends.
Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Clare-Newport, 309 Spring Street, Newport, RI, 02840 and/or HopeHealth Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI, 02904. The Nardolillo Family Funeral Home handled her funeral arrangements with much sensitivity.
