It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Olga Duchon, who was tragically taken from us on November 17, 2024, at the age of 42. Born on May 14, 1982, in Ukraine, Olga was a kind and gentle soul who always prioritized the needs of others above her own.
Olga is survived by her loving mother, Hannah, and father, Nikolay; her sister, Tatiana Maya, her cherished niece, Kathryn Mykhalskyy ; and her beloved daughter, Isla, who was the light of her life. Olga's caring nature extended to her friends, as she was always there to lend a helping hand and offer unwavering support.
A gifted physician, Olga deeply cared for hundreds of her patients throughout her career. She completed her fellowship at the University of Chicago and worked for Northwestern Hospital, where she made a significant impact. Recently, she successfully opened her own practice, continuing her mission to improve the lives of those she served.
Outside of her professional life, Olga was passionate about traveling, reading, always learning, and playing the piano. She held a deep connection to her homeland, Ukraine, and consistently supported her friends and family there.
Olga was a radiant and generous young woman who had so much to give and so much life to live. Her untimely and tragic passing has left us all in shock, and she will always remain in our hearts and memories as our angel. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service to celebrate Olga's life will be held at Matz Mt. Prospect Funeral Chapel on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 410 E. Rand Road, Mt. Prospect, IL 60056.
