Olga Grammatico

With joy and sorrow we announce the home going of Olga Marelli Grammatico at the age of 98 on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025. Olga is predeceased by her sisters, Rosie Olewnik, Sarah Marasco and Mollie Roy; her brothers, Joseph and Frank Marelli. She is survived by her husband of 75 years, Gennaro "Gene" Grammatico; children, Louis Grammatico, Daniel (fiancé Alesia House) Grammatico, Teresa (Craig) Merritt and Gene Grammatico; grandchildren, Kristin Merritt and Matthew (Jacquelyn) Merritt; great-grandson, Eli Merritt; sister, Esther Bowen; several nieces and nephews.
Olga loved to cook, bake and entertain friends and family in her home. She made the best spaghetti sauce, which none of us can even come close to replicating. She loved to travel and was able to visit friends in Sweden, celebrate 25th wedding anniversary in Hawaii and take an Alaskan cruise. She loved to sing and was in various church choirs her husband directed and was also involved in women's ministries and Sunday School. Most recently, she was a longtime member of Browncroft Community Church and was active in the Seniors Group. Olga was a wonderful Christian lady who was vibrant and friendly and never afraid to share Jesus with others. She was the best Mom taking care of our family and taught us about the Lord and how important it was to have Him in our lives. We also want to thank all the staff at Eastern Star Nursing Home for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Olga as a resident there for the past 3 years. She will be missed, but we know she is in the arms of Jesus and we will be reunited with her some sweet day.
Family and friends may attend a Graveside Service on Friday, October 24th, 2pm at Mt. Hope Cemetery 1133 Mt. Hope Ave. If you wish you can meet at the Funeral Home at 1pm and proceed together with the family to the cemetery. There will not be any calling hours, but a Memorial Service will be planned for a future date to be determined.
