October 20, 1933 – September 19, 2024

Olga Plakunov passed from this life on September 19th, 2024, with her children at her side. Formerly of Irondequoit and Penfield, NY, but most recently Cromwell, CT, Olga leaves behind her daughter Irene Quenville (Michael), son Michael Plakunov (Gayleen), and grandchildren Nicholas, Timothy, and Matthew Plakunov, Lindsey Martin (Eric), and Scott Quenville (Alexandra). She was predeceased by her parents Sergei & Ludmila Korostelew, husband James, and sister Lydia Elkins.

A strong, independent woman, Olga was a successful real estate agent with Nothnagle Realty for 11 years and a tax preparer with H&R Block for 25 years. She was an active member of the Orthodox Church, where she volunteered for various church events and was cherished for her kindness and generosity. Olga enjoyed traveling both domestically and abroad, with a trip to the Canadian Rockies holding special memories for Irene.

Olga delighted in so many things – photography, orchids, flowers of all kinds, but most of all her family, and the cats who kept her company over the years. Mike and Gayleen were so very happy to have had her close by them over the last six years.

Pannikhida will be held at 6:30 pm on Friday September 27 at Holy Ascension of Christ Orthodox Church, Rochester, NY. Funeral Liturgy 9am Saturday September 28 at Holy Ascension of Christ Orthodox Church. Interment Riverside Cemetery.

Olga's legacy of love, strength, and joy will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
