Caton married the love of his late wife, Diane Jones on October 24, 1964. The two met in Washington, D.C., working support roles with the F.B.I. Caton became a Special Agent and had a successful 32-year career with the Bureau before retiring in 1996.
Caton has 3 children all living in Florida. Kimberly George and her husband, Darin; Caton Gantt and his wife, Cortney, and Whitney Gantt along with his five grandchildren, Madison, Gantt, Harrison, Colson, and Caton.
Caton and Diane retired to the mountains of North Carolina. He spent 28 years there before moving to Florida to be with his children and grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held in Andalusia, Alabama and Waynesville, North Carolina in the near future.
