Oliver William Vaughan
October 22, 1934 – April 29, 2025

Ollie (as he was known to his friends) passed away on Tuesday April 29 in Mission Viejo. Ollie was born in Lemoore, California to Cecil and Ruth Vaughan and grew up on the family ranch there. At 17 he signed up to enter the Navy as soon as he graduated high school. In 1958 he married Edna Anderson in Fresno, California. He went on to become a deputy sheriff for 7 years followed by a career in sales and then a restaurant owner with Rusty's Pizza. He had many hobbies including becoming a scuba diver, private pilot, soap box racer, gardener, baker and a very talented woodworker. He was a true renaissance man always wanting to learn something new. He was an active member of the Mission Viejo Kiwanis club for many years and always an active member of his community. Ollie is survived by daughter Stephanie (Vaughan) Swindell (husband Mark, grandchildren Ella, Ivy and Rowan) and son Brad (wife Stephanie, grandsons Ash, Logan and Preston). Preceding him in death is his wife Edna (Anderson) Vaughan and oldest daughter Lisa (Vaughan) Austin and older sister Patricia (Vaughan) Smith. He lived his life as a positive and happy man and will be dearly missed by his children, grandchildren and all those who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held at O'Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills on Thursday May 15th at 2:00pm.
