Olivia Gail Browning

Funeral service for Olivia Gail Browning, 84, of Hokes Bluff will be held 2pm Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Glencoe Hokes Bluff Funeral Home. Dr. Ryan Morris will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Hokes Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1pm until time of service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Browning passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at her home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Browning; daughter-in-law, Genette Browning; daughter, Penny Browning; sister, Brenda Dobbs; brothers, Doice Smith, Eldon Smith, and Terry Smith.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Scott Browning daughter, Crystal (Dane) Yarbrough; grandchildren, Chandler Browning, Joshua Moore, Jonah Moore, Jordan Toves (Ben), Julianna Moore, Ben Yarbrough (Adriana), Luke Yarbrough, Zoe Yarbrough; great-grandchildren, Joaquin Yarbrough, and Cataleya Yarbrough; sisters, Aleta Bell (Cosper), and Frieda Urso; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Gail attended Hokes Bluff First Baptist Church. She was on Hope Homes Board, IFS Board, 310 Board, and a founding member of the Arc of Etowah County. She was a graduate of Jacksonville High School. She was a cosmetologist for over 50 years, and graduated from Keevil Curl School of Cosmetology. Gail was the co-owner of the Hokes Bluff Hair Center for majority of that time. She loved to grow flowers, caning, and cooking.
Pallbearers will be Dane Yarbrough, Josh Moore, Jonah Moore, Ben Toves, and Garlan Hornsby.
