After a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer, Olivia Zulueta Meyer, 76, passed away on April 13th, 2025, at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Olivia was born in Manila, Philippines on October 29th, 1948, to Daniel & Paz Zulueta and moved to
San Diego, California in 1980. Olivia was a dedicated mother to her two daughters, and three
grandchildren. She was a devoted and dependable sister, aunt, and friend to many. In 1999, Olivia
met her life partner, Lewis "Lew" Meyer. The two enjoyed many years together, often visiting their favorite destination, Hawaii, and went on to be married in 2018.
A devoted follower of Christ, Olivia bore her cross through many hardships and was proud of the
success of her children. Olivia was steadfast to the Lord, and a fiercely strong, loyal, and tenacious
mother, raising two equally strong, loyal, and tenacious daughters. She had an enthusiastic sense of
humor and lit up a room with her smile and laughter. Olivia was our fearless cheerleader and our
constant supporter. She will be deeply missed, always loved, and remembered fondly.
Olivia was predeceased by her parents; sister, Fe Esperanza; and two brothers, "Boy" and "Boyet." She
is survived by her loving husband Lew; her eldest daughter Karen and her husband Erik; her youngest
daughter Janice and her husband Edwin "Eddie"; three grandchildren - Evan, Roman, and Atticus;
and her siblings - Thelma, Bernadette, Rosario, Marie Grace, Daniel IV "Lito", and Leila "Girlie."
"I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who
lives and believes in me will never die" John 11: 25-26.
