Ollie "Fran" Frances Reed, 78, a resident of Hickory Ridge, departed this life, Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the CrossRidge Hospital in Wynne. She was born November 19, 1945, in Cross County, the daughter of Marvin and Verna Lee McAllister Taylor. She married Mr. Buford David Reed on November 9, 1975.
Fran hated the name "Ollie", Rodney and Angie were the only people that were allowed to call her that. She enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales, she owned and operated a flea market years ago, she would buy cheap and sell high. Fran had a great sense of humor and a heart of gold, she would give to anybody that needed help. Although she was very outspoken, she would light up a room when she entered it and was fun loving and had pet names for many family members. Fran loved her family and her fur babies.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Marvin and Verna Taylor, one son: Jesse Furrow, three daughters: Tonya Reed, Kathy Smith and Theresa Reed.
Survivors include her husband of forty-eight years; David Reed of Hickory Ridge, two sons: Jeff McIlwaine of Fisher, Mike Reed of Pumpkin Bend, one daughter: Paulette Reed of Wynne, two brothers: James Carl Taylor of Mountain Home, Marvin Ray Taylor of Potts Camp, Mississippi, one sister: Janie Faye Jones of Calico Rock, seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and her fur babies: Baby Boy and Baby Girl.
A visitation will be held, Wednesday, August 28th from 10:00 until service time at 11:00 a.m. at the Woodard Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow in Loughridge Cemetery.
