It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since Ronald Brownell of Millbury passed away peacefully at home on July 27, 2024. Though time keeps moving, the space he left behind is still felt by everyone who knew and loved him.
Ronald’s life was filled with music, love, and a deep dedication to the people around him. Music wasn’t just something he did—it was who he was. His talent and passion lit up every room, and his joy was contagious.
For 53 wonderful years, he shared his life with Susan, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. Their bond was the heart of everything. As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ronald was always there—steady, warm, and wise.
The oldest of eleven siblings, Ronald led with strength, kindness, and a big heart. His memory lives on through the stories and laughter shared by his eight surviving brothers and sisters and their families.
Ronald was all about connection. He cherished his friends and held tight to the relationships that shaped his journey. His humor, compassion, and humble spirit left a mark on everyone lucky enough to cross his path.
As we look back on this past year, we feel the loss—but more than that, we feel the impact of a life well lived. We carry his memory by playing the songs he loved, sharing his stories, and living with the same generous spirit he showed every day.
In Ronald’s honor, let’s keep finding joy in music, comfort in each other, and appreciation for the little things. His rhythm still beats on—in our hearts, our memories, and the lives he touched
