Opal Pearl Schell, age 91, of London, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025. She leaves behind one daughter, Linda Schell of London, KY; three siblings, Lois Caudill of Dennison, TX, Calvin Warren & wife Marcida of London, KY, Estel Warren & wife Charlotte of London, KY; two grandchildren, Wesley Schell & wife Courtney of Redmond, WA, Winston Schell of London, KY; two great grandchildren, Tanner Schell of London, KY, Autumn Schell of Redmond, WA; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Schell; her parents, Callie Warren & Effie Weaver Stewart; her son, Wendell Schell; and by her brother, Edward Warren. Opal was a devoted homemaker and cherished member of East London Baptist Church. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, spending countless hours tending to her garden and preserving its bounty through canning. She loved working on word find puzzles and found joy in quiet moments at home. Above all, she treasured her family and poured her love into her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the pride of her life. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her faith, and the love she shared so freely. A funeral service honoring Opal Pearl Schell will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Jeff Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Benge Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Thursday beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the service hour, also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements. The family has requested that the funeral service be Livestreamed. Click here to view Livestream of Funeral Service
