Franklin H. Schell, age 91, of Clark, PA, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at his residence, with his loving family by his side. Known by many as "Tiny", Frank was born November 11, 1933, in Sharon, PA, he was the son of the late Leon and Alice (Porterfield) Schell. Frank was a graduate of Sharon High School and served his country honorably in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for many years as a laborer and time-keeper for GATX and then went to work for First National Bank of PA as a supervisor for the courier department, until his retirement in 2014. Frank was an avid bowler and belonged to local bowling leagues, where he was presented with many trophies and awards for his outstanding scores. Some of his other interests and hobbies included listening and dancing to classic country music. Tiny had a great sense of humor and could get a good laugh out of anyone he met. However, his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. He attended all of their various sporting, music, and school events. He was a member of the former St. Adalbert's Church in Farrell, PA. He was an amazing Husband, Father, Grandfather, and friend; who was loved and be missed by them all.
Tiny is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jane T. (Pazgan) Schell, three daughters, Janina (Paul) Testani, of Barboursville, WV, Krisann (Jerry) Trontel, of Clark, PA, and Julie (Dr. John) Cunningham, of Hermitage, PA, and a son Don Hepler, of Struthers, OH. Two brothers, Charles (Karen) Schell, of Clark, PA, and William Schell, of Sharon, PA, a sister Ruth Allshouse, of Butner, NC, seven grandchildren, Kelly (Christian) Punzalan, Erica (William Wills) Testani, Dr. Aaron (Natassja) Trontel, Jared Trontel, Collin Trontel, Michael Sweitzer, and Matthew Cunningham, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Priscilla Schell, Beatrice Winger, Flora Coxson, Margaret Brakeman, and Neomia Levitt, and a brother Leon Schell. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:30 AM at Church of Notre Dame, with Fr. John Miller officiating. Full military honors will be presented after mass, by the Wheatland American Legion and West Middlesex VFW Honor Guard. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hermitage, PA. Memorial contributions can be made to St Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude PL, Memphis TM, 38105-9959.
