Janet Lynne McGaffic, "Buncie", age 80, of Sharon, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in UPMC Shenango Valley Hospital.

Born August 1, 1945, in Sharon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mazie (Dunham) Griffith.

She married Donald Miller on July 13, 1968, and he preceded her in death on May 25, 1993. She married her second husband, Kenneth McGaffic, on April 7, 2007, and he also preceded her in death on November 29, 2022.

Janet graduated from Hickory High School in 1963. As a young woman, she worked as a hairdresser and a nurse's aide. She retired from the Sharon School District after working for more than 20 years as a custodian and bus driver.

Janet was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her granddaughters and taking care of her dog Bodie.

She is survived by a daughter, Alison (Travus) Dusz, of Akron, OH; a son, Matthew Miller and former daughter-in-law Melissa Hughes, both of Sharon, PA; two sisters, Joan Dunlavey, of Sharon, PA, and Sally (William) Silver, of Mayfield Heights, OH; and four grandchildren, Gaia (Patrick) Forrest, Kylie Miller, Lindsey Miller and Aria Miller.

Preceding her in death was a brother Joel Griffith.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home LLC, 264 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with Rev. Rick Stauffer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, 263 E. State Street, Sharon, PA, 16146.
