Laurens
Glenn William McGaffic Jr., of Laurens, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29th, 2025, at the age of 76.
Born on March 28, 1949, in New Galilee, Pennsylvania, Glenn was a son of the late Glenn William McGaffic Sr. and Dorothy Liller McGaffic. Glenn proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force and retired with 42 years of service with Grainger.
An avid outdoorsman, Glenn found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was passionate about hunting, fishing, and camping, and he took great pride in his extensive collection of knives and guns. His love for the outdoors extended to his garden, where he spent countless hours nurturing and grafting plants and sharing his vast knowledge of nature with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sharon Jones McGaffic of the home; daughters, Cindy Mastroni (Shawn) of Fountain Inn and Becky Driscoll (Marty) of Taylors; grandchildren Zoie Mastroni, Zane Mastroni, Draven Mastroni, Vincent Mastroni, Kasey Driscoll and Taylor Driscoll; sister, Carol Alfter (Frank) of Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Wanda McGaffic of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Chuck McGaffic.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Ben Rumph with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the mortuary one hour prior to the service. A private interment will be held at M.J. Dolly Copper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson.
