Ora Lea Combes, 79, a resident of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Combes was born in Amos, Missouri, to George and Bessie Berneta (Jackson) Harris. She married Wayne Combes, March 1, 1974. Ora Lea was a proud member of the Wyandotte Nation. She enjoyed crocheting when she was younger and made beautiful afghans. She enjoyed genealogy and would spend hours researching, at one time, she kept a garden and enjoyed canning fresh vegetables. She held various positions throughout her life but primarily worked in the food service industry. The last few years she worked at the Wyandotte Cultural Office. Ora Lea was preceded in passing by her parents, George and Bessie Berneta, and her husband, Wayne Combes. Survivors include her children, Wesley Combes and Loretta Combes, both of Wyandotte, her sister Sharon Lewis of Stillwell, and two grandsons, Derick Combes of Joplin, Missouri, and Trevor Combes of Wyandotte, along with her many relatives and friends. Visitation for Ora will be on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami. A private family graveside is planned. friends and family may send the family notes of encouragement by viewing Mrs. Combes' Tribute Page at www.brown-winters.com.
