Ordith was born January 5, 1926, in Franklin Arizona, the third child of six children born to Thaddie Haden Wyatt and Clarence Tellis Bourgeous.
Ordith was inducted into the Army Air Force before he graduated from Duncan High School, ending up as a tail gunner on a B-17 bomber during WWII.
After being released he then went on a mission for the Church of Jesus Chris of Latter-Day Saints, to the Central States, but mostly in Montana.
While there he met a Lady Missionary (Virginia Chapman from Bountiful Utah) They corresponded regularly and when they finished their mission calls came home and were married in the Salt Lake Temple.
Ordith took adventage of the G.I Bill and enrolled at the University of Utah, becoming a teacher, then Principal at Syracuse Elementary School for 32 years.
Ordith and Virginia raised six children, of which four are still living, Shari, Bruce, Penny, Brent, Keith, and Vickie Deceased.
Virginia passed away on January 7, 2003.
In October 2004, Ordith married Barbara Steed. They enjoyed 20 years together, traveling, and enjoying going to St. George in the winter and making new friends there.
Surviving are his wife Barbara, children Shari (Van) Thornock, Bruce (Jeanie) Bourgeous, Penny (Shoji) Dambara, Brent (Bonnie) Bourgeous, Susan Bourgeous, (daughter-in law), Robert (Sheri) Steed, John (Danyaile) Steed, Kevan (Natalie) Steed, and Rogers (Rebecca) Steed. 31 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren, and one brother Aulvie Bourgeous.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeview Farms Ward. 3267 West 700 South, Syracuse. Friends may visit with family on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lindquist's Syracuse Mortuary, 869 South 2000 West, and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded.
