Orelves S. Portal, age 66, beloved Brother, Son, Father, and Step-father, was called to his eternal resting place on February 6, 2025. He entered this world on June 1, 1958 in Las Villas, Cuba, born to Norberto and Estrella Portal. He is survived by his daughter Naomy Portal; his brother Aristides Portal; his sister Claribelle Hernandez and husband Raul; sister Mimi Nix and husband Mark and brother Jose Portal; step-daughter Faviola Guevara and husband Mike: step-son Jovin Guevara; his nieces & nephews Gloribelle, Raúl Jr., William, Joevanni, Zachary, Isaac, Jenny, and Aimee; his uncles Clemente Hernández and Israel Hernández. He is also survived by numerous grand-nieces & nephews, and many cousins and friends here and in Cuba.
Orelves drove a taxi cab for over twenty years. He was the one of the best handyman. He enjoyed helping others and would do anything to help anyone in need. He always had a smile on his face. He truly enjoyed telling stories. His stories were so lively and entertaining. Oh, how we would love to hear one of those stories now. He would speak with his daughter Naomy for hours. Her voice and laughter brought out his warm and caring smile. Orelves loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 16th, from 4-7pm at Highland Funeral Home, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, FL. Funeral services will be held the next day on Monday, February 17th at 10am -11am at the funeral home, with ministering Priest from 10:30am until last blessing, graveside. Orelves will be laid to rest immediately following in Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka FL.
