Orlinda Ann Prettyman

Orlinda Ann Prettyman, 88, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025. She was born February 11, 1937, in Grand Junction, Colorado, to Linda Garcia and Rupert Gonzales. She was lovingly raised by her mother and adoptive father, Gordon Prettyman mainly in Price, Utah where she graduated from Carbon High School in 1955. She lived most of her adult life in Rose Park, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Orlinda enjoyed serving others. She worked at the State of Utah Department of Social Services for over 30 years. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she found great joy serving as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake temple for over 20 years. She shared her faith, love, and kindness with all who came to know her.

Orlinda was preceded in death by her parents, Linda and Gordon Prettyman; twin sister Berlinda Hawkins; and brothers Rupert and Terry Prettyman. She is survived by her sister, Betty Tolman, and several nieces and nephews who love her dearly.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that she has returned home to a joyful reunion with family and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at the Rose Park Stake Center, 760 North 1200 West, Rose Park, Utah where a viewing will be held from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment - Elysian Burial Gardens.
