Orlyn E. Greseth, 78 of Alexandria, originally of Dawson, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria at 11:00 AM, with a visitation one hour prior. A funeral luncheon will be served at the funeral home following the service. 

Orlyn was born on March 12, 1946 to Elmer and Olga (Arneson) Greseth. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Winge, on September 15, 1965. Shortly thereafter he was drafted into the United States Army, where he served his country in the Vietnam War.

After returning from the war, Orlyn enrolled in technical college in Willmar. After graduation, he spent over twenty years as a maintenance mechanic before his retirement from Medtronic. 

He was an outdoors enthusiast who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, boating, and all sports – especially the Minnesota Vikings. 

Orlyn had a special passion for all types of cars, especially the classics. He was the proud owner of 64 vehicles in his lifetime, plus numerous motorcycles, golf carts, dune buggies, and motorhomes. 

Left to cherish Orlyn’s memory are his wife, Linda Greseth; children: Paula (Dean) Trocke, Todd (Diona) Greseth, Cory (Melanie) Greseth; grandchildren: Brandon (Kasey) Trocke, Brittany (Connor) Dostal, Hannah (Dylan) Pothan, Joshua Buie, Garrett Greseth, Morgan Greseth, Alex Greseth, Ryan Greseth, Leah Greseth, Kayden Greseth, Jack Greseth, Jade Greseth, Jasmine Greseth; great-grandchidlren: Jayden Buie, Cullen and Boston Dostal, Delilah Pothan; brother and sisters-in-law: JoAnn (Tom) Vonderharr, Barbara (Gary) Jordahl, Kevin (Kevin) Winge, Betty Greseth. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Olga Greseth; siblings: Gailen (Arlene) Greseth, Elaine (Irving) Nyberg, Eugene Greseth, Karen (Tom) Erickson; as well as many other beloved family and friends.
