Orrie Mae Northcutt

Orrie Mae Northcutt, age 83, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025, in Manchester.
Born on April 28, 1942, in Beechgrove, Tennessee, Orrie Mae was a woman of immense heart and spirit. Those who knew her will forever remember her spectacular, booming laugh-a joyous sound that involved her entire being and could light up any room. Her heart was vast, holding a deep and abiding love for all her family and friends, ensuring everyone felt cherished.
She was a dedicated member of Stephens Chapel Methodist Church for many years, where she faithfully attended and had previously participated in cleaning and maintaining the church.
Orrie Mae's family was her world. She is survived by her loving daughter, Christy Wray (Darryl), and her beloved granddaughter, Kristen Wray, who was unequivocally her pride and joy, her "number one." She also leaves behind her brothers, Willie (Shirley) Murray and Bruce (Margie) Murray, and sister-in-law, Jackie Clarke. She always treated her son-in-law, Darryl, as if he were her own son.
She is also survived by several cherished friends, including Lori (Nelson) Watson, Duane (Leslie) Brasfield, Zeda Norman, Drenna Atala, Edmonia Murray, Linda Rollins and Cynthia Murray. Orrie Mae was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jimmy Northcutt, her mother, Lena Murray, and her sister, Bessie Murray-Dunaway.
Funeral Arrangements Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Manchester Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM at Manchester Funeral Home. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Cypress Gardens in Manchester, Tennessee.
