Obituary published on Legacy.com by Somerset Undertaking Co. and Crematory - Somerset on Oct. 7, 2024.
Orville "Dee" Daulton passed from this life to his Heavenly home on October 4, 2024, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Center. Dee was born on March 21,1930, to Fielce and Effie Daulton in
Nancy, KY. He was a member of the United States Army Infantry from 1950-1953, serving on the front lines in the Korean War and in the Military Police upon his return to the United States.
Dee married the love of his life, Norma Kennedy, on December 25,1951. They were married for 4 months shy of 60 years and blessed with three children, Barry, Melody, and Derek. He was a lifelong, faithful member of White Oak Baptist Church in
Nancy, KY, where he taught Sunday School for over 40 years. He loved the Lord and his church family. He was an honest and hardworking man. He ran a successful excavation business for many years, taking pride in his work and doing whatever he could to help others. He also dearly loved farming. If you passed by his house and he was not working there, you knew he was on the farm. Dee honored God above all else, and deeply cherished his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, and "Granddaddy," as well as friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, six brothers Howard, Harry, Gene, Everett (Shorty), Murrell (Slick), and Orwin (Muss) Daulton, one sister, Eva Daulton Holler, and four great-grandchildren, Brooks Richard, Owen Alexander, William Tate, and Haddie Belle Meece.
He is survived by many family members whom he loved deeply. Each one of them will forever celebrate and cherish his memory: three children, Barry (Sally) Daulton of Somerset, Melody (Rick) Meece of Nancy, and Derek (Felicia) Daulton, also of Somerset; a sister, Mary Lou Daulton Trimble, of Nancy; grandchildren, Andrea (Adam) Scales of Nancy, Ashley (Jordan) Hoseclaw of Somerset, Brandon Daulton of Louisville, Brittany Daulton of Somerset, Alex (Sammi Jo) Meece of Nancy, Sydney Daulton and Aubrey Daulton, both of Somerset; and great-grandchildren, Jackson Cooper, Kennedy (Jackson) Webb, Tripp Hoseclaw, Porter Dee Hoseclaw, and Mallie Kate Hoseclaw, of Somerset, Ellery Scales of Nancy, and Harrison Meece and Boone Taylor of Nancy.

Pallbearers are Brandon Daulton, Alex Meece, Jordan Hoseclaw, Adam Scales, Jackson Cooper, and Tripp Hoseclaw; with Porter Hoseclaw, Harrison Meece, and Boone Taylor serving as Honorary Pallbearers. Internment is at Whitus Cemetery in
Nancy, KY.
