Orvis C. "Chuck" Rowe, 80, of Adamstown, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.
Born January 14, 1946, in Fleetwood, Chuck was the son of the late Hilbert L. and Arline M. (Schildt) Rowe. Chuck married the love of his life, his wife of 60 years, Virginia A. "Ginny" (Kessler) Rowe, in Rosedale Reformed Church, Laureldale, on October 16, 1965.
Chuck served his country honorably and faithfully as a Specialist 5 in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Chuck worked at Lee Heffner Ford as a mechanic and then shop foreman. He also worked at Instant Whip Foods and was a maintenance supervisor for Reading Tube for 24 years.
Chuck truly enjoyed skiing, tinkering with anything he could take apart, playing Sequence, traveling, especially the motorhome trips to Penn State, Watkins Glen, Graceland and many other places. He looked forward to spending time on the weekends with Ginny and their friends, going out, listening to music and savoring the sweet taste of honey whiskey. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his children and loved attending the school and sports activities for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Ginny, are his children, Kevin T. Rowe, husband of Denise C. (Valentino) Rowe, Bern Township, Kimberly A. (Rowe) Smith, wife of Edward J. Smith, Exeter Township, David T. Rowe, husband of Wendy E. (Zimmerman) Rowe, Fleetwood, and Jamie C. Rowe, husband of Karen L. (Bolig) Rowe, Wernersville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brett and his wife, Lauren, Kaitie, Lauren, Ryan, Sean, Payton, Ashlyn and Kaelyn, and by his great-grandchildren, River, Raine, Bodhi and Josie.
Along with his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his grandson, Preston T. Rowe.
