Oscar G. Arocha, born May 22, 1980, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025 surrounded by loved ones who will forever cherish his memory. A master mechanic by trade, Oscar had a gift for fixing just about anything, a talent matched only by his deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was fishing by the water's edge or tracking game on a quiet morning, nature was where he felt most at peace.
Oscar had a deep affection for animals and a soft heart for his family. He was known for his warm spirit, infectious humor, and his ability to bring laughter even in the most difficult of times. Despite the challenges he faced with his illness, Oscar never lost his light. He found joy in the little things and made sure everyone around him smiled-even if it was with one of his well-timed jokes or his signature, affectionate sayings that his family will carry with them forever.
Oscar is preceded in death by his mother, Maria G. Moreno and son, Oscar L. Arocha; great-grandmother, Jovita Gonzales.
He is survived by his loving companion, Stephanie Marie Venesuela and his beloved children, Jesse Arocha, Faith Arocha, and Jason Arocha. He also leaves behind his father, Albert Arocha, and his wife Apolinar; his siblings, Josephine Flores and her husband Jesse Flores, Albert G. Arocha and his wife Dolores, Rita Arocha, Adeline Salinas and her husband James Salinas, Katherine Arocha and her husband Roger Sanchez, Alyssa Jimenez, and Ignocio Arocha. Also mourning his loss is his loyal dog, Electra.
Oscar's legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
