Funeral services for Mr. Oscar Hernandez Lara, 36, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Santidad Divina with Julian Esparza officiating. Interment will be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, in Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe.
Mr. Hernandez was born January 13, 1988, in EJ. Potrero Bracil, Tempoal, Veracruz, and passed away October 21, 2024. He was a member of Santidad Divina in West Monroe, LA.
Oscar was a loving husband and father, leading his family and friends by example. He was a humble, kind, respectful, and hardworking man who balanced his talents as a businessman with a deep dedication to those he loved. Oscar was known for his generous heart and always had time to lend a helping hand, whether to his family, friends, or even those he barely knew. He was a man who put others first and had a way of making everyone around him feel valued and supported. He enjoyed spending his free time fishing, surrounded by family and friends, and loved being with his dogs, who were like family to him. He began Lagniappe Painting Company in 2017 with his good friend, Robert Cubelo. Together, they built a prosperous company that blessed many families. His legacy will live on through the men and crews he led as they continue his work.
Oscar is preceded in death by Manuela Torrez Hernandez, Anacleto Hernandez Sanchez, and Manuel Hernandez Hernandez.
Survivors include his wife, Aracely Ramirez; daughters, Nataly Michelle Hernandez, Juliet Hernandez, Adriana Hernandez, and Briana Hernandez; son, Oscar Hernandez, Jr.; parents, Sara Lara Hernandez and Alejandro Hernandez Torres; father-in-law, Jesus Ramirez; mother-in-law, Concepcion Ramirez; brothers, Abelardo Hernandez (Deborah), Alejo Hernandez (Jessica), Francisco Hernandez (Maria), and Aron Hernandez; sister, Yadira Hernandez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The pallbearers will be Abelardo Hernandez, Oscar Hernandez, Jr., Robert Cubelo, Aron Hernandez, Edgar Hernandez, and Eliseo Hernandez.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Santidad Divina, 600 S. 8th St., West Monroe, LA 71292, to help complete the renovations that Oscar had begun.
