Daniel was preceded in death by his grandfather Jim Wilds. In addition to his parents, survivors include his grandmothers Peggy Wilds and Elizabeth Taulbee, grandfather Calvin Duncan, uncles Daniel Wilds and Bill West, aunt Kristin Hornback, and many great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
Daniel was smart and funny, but his greatest gift was his friendship. He was kind and loyal to both new acquaintances and lifelong friends. These relationships brought joy to Daniel's life.
Daniel loved all creatures and, from the time he was a little boy, aspired to be a veterinarian. The family asks that if you would like to make a memorial donation, a donation to an animal charity would celebrate Daniel's passion.
Visitation will be held at Pisgah Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 11 a.m. with a graveside service at 1 p.m. in the church cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
Pallbearers are friends Tyler Rossi, Whitney Page, Peter Marino, Keenan Wilson, Bennet Schrensker, and Parker Herrington.

Daena, I don´t know if you remember me but I was the daughter of Mollie Mullins. She and your dad and mom were great friends and were instrumental in getting Woodamere Pool built! I was also the assistant for the Speech Language Pathologist Board. I talked with you when you were getting your license renewed. I am so sorry about your son! I didn´t realize you had a son and just wanted to let you know I have you, your wife and Daniel in my thoughts and prayers.

Daniel was such an amazing friend. Even though I never met him. He was one of my best friends. When I heard he had passed it felt like I lost a part of myself. From 2020-2023 me and Daniel shared such a beautiful friendship. I love you forever Lautne.
