O.C. Bart Bartholomew passed away on October 30, 2025 in Houston, Texas. He was born on April 21, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana and was the middle child of Oswald Charles and Mary Esther Bartholomew.

Bart attended Louisiana State University where he earned his degree in architecture. There, he met the love of his life, Barbara Gray, and they married in 1962. After graduating in 1963, they moved to Houston. Together Bart and Barbara raised two daughters, Andrea Ann and Jessica Lee. Throughout his career, Bart was involved in many architectural projects in Houston and the U.S. While retired, the devoted couple enjoyed traveling and took great pride and joy in their grandchildren and their accomplishments.

Preceding him in death was his wife of 55 years, daughter Andrea, parents and sister, Mary Ann.

Survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jessica Lee and Harmon Scheller, grandchildren Emma Ruth Scheller and Nathan Bartholomew Scheller, sister Catherine Wilder Nohara and brother- and sister-in-law James Terry Gray Jr and Norma Carol Hulquist Gray, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, followed by interment at the Gray family cemetery in Cherokee, Texas.
