Otha M. "Poss" Bradshaw, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this life on December 15, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on October 18, 1932, in Greenville, SC, he lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love for his family and community. Otha proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, an experience that instilled in him a deep sense of duty and patriotism. Following his military service, he spent 42 years as a Locomotive Engineer with Norfolk Southern Railroad, where his work ethic and commitment to excellence earned the respect of his colleagues. In addition to his career in the railroad industry, Otha was an active member of Roper Mountain Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon, and he enjoyed being part of the Mauldin Masonic Lodge. His faith and values guided him throughout his life, and he cherished the connections he made within his community. Otha was a man who loved the beauty of life, often seeking solace at the beach and in the mountains. He took great joy in spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Otha Kim Bradshaw (Revonda), Pam Crumpton, and Sandra Carithers; his beloved six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Eugenia Bradshaw Potylicki; and brother, Del Bradshaw (Pat). In addition to his parents, Joseph and Mary Webb Bradshaw, Otha was joyously reunited in heaven his beloved wife, Diamond Styles Bradshaw; two brothers, Joe Bradshaw and Grady Bradshaw; and one sister, Yvonne Kuykendall. A visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on December 19, 2024 at Roper Mountain Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Otha will then be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Roper Mountain Baptist Church, 300 Roper Mountain Road Ext., Greenville, SC 2915.
Otha Marcellus Bradshaw will be remembered for his unwavering love, steadfast commitment to his family, and the kindness he extended to all he met. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered.
