Pablo Nipp Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by North Dallas Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Feb. 10, 2024.
Pablo Nipp was born in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico in July of 1970. His early life was very difficult as his parents were unable to care for him. As a small child, Pablo was placed in the care of his grandparents who resided in a cave. As a young boy, Pablo ran away from his grandparents and lived on the streets of Mexico where he struggled for food and shelter. Those early struggles marked Pablo for life as he was never able to turn away from a person or an animal in need. Eventually, Pablo went to live in a children's home, an orphanage, run by the Salvation Army in Chihuahua. It was there that he encountered Charles Nipp, an American from Dallas who wanted to adopt a boy along with his Mexican wife, Raquel. Charles and Raquel Nipp adopted Pablo when he was 10 years old and he came to Dallas to live with Charles, Raquel, older sister Cecilia and newborn sister, Ana. He also had a half-sister from Charles' first marriage named Gloria. Pablo attended Mary Immaculate Elementary School in Farmers Branch where he made lots of friends and perfected his English in less than six months. Pablo was baptized, made his first Communion and completed his Confirmation at Mary Immaculate. As he got older, Pablo didn't like school very much and he did not graduate from high school. Despite his limited education, Pablo had a photographic memory and he always maintained near-perfect grammar and spelling in both English and in Spanish. Pablo was married once and was divorced after a few short years. He did have significant relationships but never married again and did not have children. Pablo's great loves were his animals and he was totally dedicated to their care. Pablo rescued countless dogs over the years and dogs always responded to Pablo with great affection and obedience. He was a real dog whisperer. In particular, Pablo loved chihuahuas, perhaps as a nod to his early life and place of birth. In work, Pablo explored a variety of trades such as barber and mechanic and he held a variety of cleaning and service jobs over the course of his life such as car detailing and bussing tables. Pablo excelled at window washing which was something that he did as a part-time job for many years. Most of all, Pablo loved interacting with people and talking to all kinds of people. Working at 7-11 in recent years, Pablo seemed to find his true calling and a real community – He loved working there and talking to all who came through the door! He was a valued and appreciated employee and he felt fulfilled working among friends. Pablo was able to buy his own house of which he was very proud and there he lived happily the last years of his life with his many, many loved pets. We who knew and loved Pablo will remember him for his kindness, his laughter, his generosity of spirit and his care for all abandoned creatures.
